Our Story
We are a small, family-owned business and sports are our passion! We opened our doors on January 11, 2013 as Slash Lacrosse and for our first 10 years, we operated as an exclusive lacrosse store. Our goal was to grow the great game of lacrosse through convenience, competitive prices, and access to the highest quality equipment; something that was not available to Central Alberta players. We hit the ground running, bought an enclosed trailer and began setting up a mobile store at lacrosse tournaments right away.
Over time, we outgrew that space and in September, 2022, we started some extensive renovations and the big move to our new home began.
With a bigger space came even bigger ideas! There was a void in the baseball & softball market that needed to be filled and this was the perfect opportunity!
We rebranded as Slash Sports to encompass our commitment to lacrosse, baseball and softball and re-opened our doors December 1, 2022 as a bigger, better Slash!
We now stock lacrosse, baseball, softball, slo-pitch and football equipment. We have an indoor cage with baseball & softball pitching machines, HitTrax, lacrosse net & rebounder, and all the training equipment in between!
Thanks to our indoor training space, we are also able to offer private and semi-private lessons & clinics for baseball, softball & lacrosse, with some of the most elite and accomplished instructors.
