Santa Photos 2025

BACK BY POPOULAR DEMAND! Slash Sports will be offering another charity Santa photo session, open to families AND THEIR PETS!!

Join us Sunday, November 9, from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Slash Sports for a stress-free, super jolly, charity photo event. We are located at 103-303A Larch Close, Red Deer County (straight south of the Westerner).

The very talented Krista, from Helena Photography, will be joining us to take professional photos. We have intentionally scheduled our Santa pictures earlier this year to ensure everyone has plenty of time to get Christmas cards made.

All photos will be emailed to you. Background & Claus(es) may vary from photo shown. We will be offering a maximum of 3 photos per group. Pricing will be as follows: 1st photo - min $25 donation, each additional photo will be an extra $5ea (ie: 1 photo = $25, 2 photos = $30, 3 photos = $35).

In addition to monetary proceeds being donated to a charitable cause, we will also be doing a food drive for the Red Deer Foodbank and would greatly appreciate any non-perishable food item donations.

Skip the big mall lineup, help us support a great cause AND get your picture taken for those Christmas cards! Don't forget to bring along your furry friends!

If you are unable to make your scheduled time, please cancel to allow others to sign up. Because this is a fundraiser for charity, we would greatly appreciate not having no-shows.

Private Lacrosse Lessons

Jeremy Klessens is a dedicated coach from Central Alberta with a passion for developing athletes in both lacrosse and hockey. Growing up in Alberta, he has been immersed in Canada’s game of hockey as well as the fast-paced sport of lacrosse, giving him a deep appreciation for competition, teamwork, and leadership.

His playing career in lacrosse was a short - but well timed and well executed. He started at the age of 15 playing Minor A in Innisfail, where his team went 36-0 and won provincials. From there, Jeremy moved on to play 4 years for the Red Deer Rampage, went to countless Provincial finals and a founder cup where they placed second in the nation. He was named Captain in his final two years - this was a great honor and he wore the jersey with pride.

Jeremy loves the sport and still coaches the Mavericks Elite Lacrosse in Innisfail - where they have been to two consecutive founders' cups.

With experience coaching at various levels, he focuses on building strong fundamentals, work ethic, and confidence in his players. His coaching philosophy emphasizes not only skill development, but also character, discipline, and sportsmanship—helping athletes succeed both on and off the ice or floor.

Jeremy has worked with athletes of different age groups and skill levels, tailoring his approach to meet each team’s needs. Whether it’s teaching young players the basics, preparing athletes for higher levels of competition, or fostering leadership within the group, he is committed to bringing out the best in every player.

As a coach, he brings energy, patience, and knowledge of the game, while also striving to create a positive and motivating environment where athletes can grow their love for the sport.

Lessons with Owen Coumont

Owen will be offering baseball hitting & catching lessons, as well as softball catching, in 1-on-1 or small group sessions.

Owen Coumont brings a wealth of high-level playing experience and leadership to Slash Sports. As a Baseball Canada National Champion with Red Deer Minor Baseball’s 18U BAEL team, a Provincial Champion at the Baseball Alberta Elite League 18U level, and a member of the winning AABC Team Alberta 2022 Best of the West 15U Championship, Owen knows firsthand what it takes to compete and succeed on the biggest stages.

A talented catcher, Owen has represented his province and country with pride as a Catcher for Team Alberta at the 2025 Canada Summer Games, a Catcher for the 2024 Western Prospects with Team Alberta, and a Catcher for the Sylvan Lake U19 Gulls Prep Team. His ability to handle pitchers, manage game situations, and lead on and off the field has set him apart as one of the top young catchers in Canada.

Beyond his achievements, Owen is passionate about sharing his knowledge with the next generation of athletes. Athletes will learn from his expertise in catching, hitting, and game preparation, while also gaining valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and leadership. His energy, approachability, and championship mindset will inspire players to raise their game and reach their potential.
